At Hexabee Network, the security of the retro games and content we provide is our top priority. Below you will find security measures related to downloading and playing our games.

GAME FILE SAFETY

  • Clean Source: All games offered on our site (in .html, .tic, or .zip formats) are either original files received directly from developers or compiled from open-source projects.
  • No Malware: No game file contains viruses, spyware, keyloggers, or adware. Files undergo comprehensive security checks before being published.
  • Executable (.exe) Notice: Our retro games are typically browser-based (HTML5) or in TIC-80 cartridge format. If a game is distributed as a `.exe` file, this is clearly stated, and the file is sourced from a trusted location (official itch.io, GitHub, etc.).
  • Integrity: Game files are presented in their original state; no additional code, ad modules, or tracking scripts are injected into them.

DOWNLOAD PROCESS

  • Direct Access: Game files are downloaded directly from Hexabee servers or official developer repositories (GitHub, itch.io). There are no intermediate "link shorteners", "ad-fly pages", or "file hosting sites".
  • HTTPS Encryption: All download links are encrypted with SSL (HTTPS). The risk of file tampering or "man-in-the-middle" attacks during transfer is minimized.

USER RESPONSIBILITY

  • Antivirus Software: It is recommended to scan any downloaded file with your own antivirus software before running it. This is a general internet safety precaution.
  • Legacy Compatibility: Some retro games may not be fully compatible with modern operating systems. Recommended emulators or browsers for running games are specified on the site.
  • Use at Your Own Risk: While Hexabee Network does its best to ensure game file safety, it cannot be held responsible for technical issues (compatibility, performance) arising from the use of downloaded content.

EXTERNAL LINKS

Links to Discord, YouTube, or developer websites on our site redirect to external platforms. The security policies of these platforms are beyond the control of Hexabee Network.

REPORTING SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

If you notice any suspicious behavior in a downloaded game (excessive CPU usage, unexpected network traffic, etc.), please contact us via the email address in the site footer. We will immediately investigate and remove the file if necessary.
